Poll Vault

Web Programming

PollVault is a project I did at UCLA with two other team members, Wayne Fan and Chelsea Cropper, over the course of two weeks. The idea was to make a simple voting site where people could quickly ask a question of the site's audience and get some answers, all in a slick, user-friendly interface.

The work was divided between making the site look pretty (Wayne and Chelsea) and making the site functional (me). In technical terms, I did all the back-end design and programming (database creation and access), using MySQL and PHP. I also came up with the name.

To see my (decidedly ugly) back-end proof-of-concept (originally named FruitLup), click here.

To see the final version of the site with all its visual bells and whistles, click here.

Note: if you have trouble registering or logging in, just use "guest" (without the quotes) as the user ID and password.
